Excerpts from a speech David Horowitz gave on May 24, 2010:
There are three major areas of threat to America. One is the War on Terror. Of course it’s not a War on Terror. It’s a war on Islamic holy war that has been declared on us and is being carried out by millions of Muslims. That’s just a fact. And it’s a fact that nobody in government can mention. Not even anybody in the Bush administration.
The second area of great concern is our borders. You cannot have a sovereign country without borders. The only borders in the world that are under attack from within are America’s borders. The President of the United States has said, "You can’t define a country by its borders." Well, what else can you define it by? And that’s because of this fantasy that there’s going to be a world without nations.
The third area - and this one frustrates me the most because I have not been able to generate a reform movement to deal with it, although Texas and Arizona are beginning - is our schools. Gov. Rick Perry told me personally that every trustee at the University of Texas was personally appointed by him. Yet you can go through the University of Texas and get a degree in radical Communist anti-American politics. Of course that’s not what they call it.
I have to go under police guard to almost any university, but UT is a major problem. The last time I was at UT a Marxist professor was leading her students in chanting all kinds of things so I couldn’t begin speaking. There was an official from the university. They get three warnings. So they had to be warned and warned. Finally they were told that if they didn’t stop they were going to be arrested. And that’s what stopped them. The big problem was that woman (professor) teaches Marxism. She teaches hate America. And that’s going on all over the country.
