PUTIN SHOWS THE WAY TO COOL DOWN THE ‘OCCUPY’ MOVEMENT

On Monday, during Vladimir Putin’s inauguration as president of Russia, the streets of Moscow were filled with thousands of angry young anti-Putin demonstrators. The police moved in swiftly and dragged young male protestors to Moscow’s draft offices. That really got the attention of the demonstrators.

In our country we continue to be confronted with protestors from the ‘Occupy’ movement. The occupy rabble is made up mostly of young people, many of them college students that have been influenced by Marxist professors. These protestors occupy public parks and block entrances to businesses they don’t like. In Oakland and other cities, police have had to resort to force to keep the rabble from interfering with the rights of others.

Let’s take a chapter out of Putin’s book. I propose that we reinstitute the military draft. Universal military service benefits both country and conscripts by instilling young people with discipline and patriotism through their service to our nation. And if we had a draft, our cops could drag disorderly protestors to the draft boards. There’s nothing like the threat of military conscription to cool down the fervor of draft-eligible protestors.
