I just watched a Channel 2 news report on a “deputy involved shooting.”

The shooting took place at a bus station in southeast Houston after a man charged at a female deputy with a machete. He was reported to be pissed off because he missed the last bus to Mexico.

Jake Reiner, the reporter on the scene, said he didn’t know the condition of the victim, but he did see a man lying under a body sheet and “he didn’t appear to be moving.”

The man under the body sheet didn’t appear to be moving? Now that’s what I call brilliant reporting. Way to go Jake.
