The Coroner for the county of Los Angeles has told his employer to take a flying fuck at a rolling donut and is heading back from whence he came 2 ½ years ago, the wilds of Riverside County. Seemingly with good cause.
The backlog of dead bodies in L.A. has gotten critical according to Mark Fajardo, who will return to Riverside as their Chief Forensic Pathologist. He has been regularly requesting additional staff and resources to enable him to do his job in a timely manner. The county has refused to kick down. After about 30 months he figured that they were not going to give him any play and he is heading back home.
Fajardo has sent in his resignation to the County Board of Supervisors, effective April 15.

Probably could have made a lot of money in overtime and retired a rich person.

The head guy is, I suspect, on salary and not an hourly employee.
