The strictest gun restrictions allowed under the Constitution did not keep 69 people from getting shot, mostly in black neighborhoods, over the three day holiday
Chicago has enacted the strictest gun restrictions allowed under the Constitution. How has that worked out for the Windy City? Not too well. Chicagoans get shot on a daily basis, mostly in black neighborhoods. And those are black-on-black shootings.
Holiday weekends are particularly notable. Last year, 12 Chicagoans were killed and 44 wounded over the Memorial Day weekend. Eight Chicagoans were shot dead and at least 41 were wounded in Chicago over the recent Mother’s Day weekend. Way to celebrate Mother’s Day, Chicago!
Which brings us to this year’s Memorial Day weekend. 69 Chicagoans were shot, six of them fatally.
According to the Chicago Tribune, the breakdown from the weekend is: Three people killed and 12 people wounded Friday afternoon through early Saturday; one person killed and 24 people wounded Saturday evening through early Sunday; 13 people wounded Sunday afternoon through early Monday; and 16 people shot Monday into early Tuesday, two of them fatally.
Way to celebrate Memorial Day, Chicago!
I suspect there were a good number of additional shootings in which the black lives don’t matter black gangbangers aimed at rival black gangbangers and simply failed to hit anyone.
And what is the BLM rabble doing about all those black-on-black shootings? Nothing, absolutely nothing! They’re waiting for the next white cop to shoot a black person.
