It happened again, this time in Vallejo, CA. Neighbors called the cops to a drunken house party in the wee hours of Monday. Among the problems they encountered was an apparent mutual combat between a "teenager" (who was 6-2 and weighed 250 pounds) and a young adult. It turns out they knew each other. They were duking it out on the second-story rear deck. The cops tried to break it up and then fired up a Taser, which missed. At about that time the tables turned and the large16-year old ended up on his back on the deck and the 21-year old was on top, with a toad-sticker. One of the cops terminally rehabilitated the adult with the knife with four shots. The knife wielder, Angel Ramos, was pronounced rehabilitated at the scene.
Three of the people at the scene, including the 16-year old, were arrested for resisting arrest and general assholeishness. (OK, I just made that last part up. However, it should be a real law.)
The dead guy was described as a "happy person" and a "free spirit." I can see that. Damn near ever "happy person" or "free spirit" I know is regularly involved in homicidal fights while stinking drunk at house parties.
