THE COPS SHOULD HAVE ARRESTED SOME OF THE ‘PEACEFUL PROTESTERS’

Angry protesters blocked Education Secretary Betsy DeVos from entering a D.C. school

Here is another sickening example of cops not arresting law breaking protesters.

Secretary of Education Betsy DeVos attempted Friday to enter Jefferson Middle School Academy in southwest Washington. At the entrance she was blocked from gaining access to the school by a small group of rowdy protesters.

There were plenty of cops around but they did not clear the way for DeVos to enter the school. All they did was to move protesters who were also blocking her car from leaving.

Now I understand and strongly support “the right of the people peaceably to assemble” as spelled out in the First Amendment of our Constitution. But the right to assembly does not give protesters the right to interfere with the right of other people to come and go about their business.

Supporters of the protesters and the media described the blockage of DeVos as conducted by “peaceful protesters.” Peaceful? Not from what I saw on the videos of this incident. I suppose it’s either all in the eye of the beholder or the politically correct description of “peaceful protesters.”

Apparently the politically correct version of peaceful protester allows a protester to just about break any law as long as he or she is not killing somebody.

The protesters do not piss me off near as much as those worthless cops on the scene. They did not clear the way for DeVoss to enter the school and they failed to arrest the individuals who were blocking her way and who were blocking her car from leaving.

Later, DeVos returned and was able to sneak into the school by using a back entrance. But if the cops had done their job, DeVos would have been able to enter the school through the front entrance when she first arrived.

To hell with arresting them. Shoot a few of them.
