Something truly amazing happened in beautiful downtown Stockton a couple of days ago. Three people were knifed in three separate incidents (not terribly far from the police headquarters actually). One died. One is critical. An actual private citizen witnessed one of the attacks, called the cops and provided a pretty good description which led to a fairly prompt arrest.
I went out and bought a lottery ticket. Miracles do occur.
