Xavier Beccerra is the Attorney General of the formerly great state of California. He is also a hard-core leftie with a strong feeling for ALL Latinos, including criminals, illegal aliens and criminal illegal aliens.
He announced on Thursday that his office will prosecute to the fullest extend of California law any employer who assists federal immigration authorities in tracking down illegal aliens. The penalties include fines of up to $10,000 per incident.
Clearly the A. G. doesn't give a flying fuck about people who are victimized directly or indirectly by illegal aliens. He needs to play to his base. His base sure as shit isn't middle class or working class legal citizens.
CA law demands that employers refuse access to ICE unless they present a warrant. It also prohibits sharing of employment information with ICE without s subpoena. It further requires that the employer notify their employees before a federal audit of employee records. It prohibits employers from verifying information on employment applications unless compelled to do so by federal labor law. The new law also gives the AG and the Labor Commission exclusive authority to enforce this new law.
I don't want to see gun fights in the streets between ICE and CA law enforcement. I would, however, love to see a few asshole politicians thrown into the federal can, preferably in North Dakota or maybe Leavenworth.
