Regular readers will remember Santa Clara County Judge Aaron Persky. He gave a "friends and family" sentence to a Stanford jock in the rape of an unconscious woman at a frat party. he gave Brock Turner 6 months in county for the incident that occurred three years ago. He did only three months actual jail time. If the recall is successful it will mark the first successful recall of a judge in CA in 87 years.
Several CA Supreme Court Judges, including the notorious Rose Bird, were unelected many years ago after years of being liberal idiots. In CA Supreme Court judges have to run for their position every few years after their initial appointment. It is normally an automatic reelection. Normally.
