Yes, It's true. The vote in the senate failed last night and the government will be "shut down" today. The sun will not rise in the morning. Rain will not fall. Water will not run thru your pipes. Electricity will not run thru the wires. Shit won't run thru the sewers. The roads will instantaneously turn to dust and life as we know it will come to an end. Or not.
The fact of the matter is the huge majority of Americans will not even notice.
Should you care? Yes. It means the assholes we pay a LOT of money to to do a job are unable or unwilling to do it. Or are too damn stupid to do it. That one is a strong possibility. The REAL question is WHO WILL GET THE BLAME? So far the Democrats are getting the blame if you have an IQ above 85 or are capable of critical thinking. That, however, isn't necessarily a description of most voters. The fact of the matter is that Democraps are better at lying that Republicans are at telling the truth.
The truth is that THERE IS NO DACA BILL. It does not now exist. The house could not vote on a DACA bill because there isn't one. The senate could not vote on a DACA bill because there isn't one. The president could neither sign nor veto a DACA bill because there isn't one. DACA does not run out for another six weeks. Holding up the government funding for this question is a STUNT. That doesn't mean the American public won't buy into it, but it is still a stunt.
Fortunately Trump isn't just going to lay there and let people piss on him. He will whip it out and piss back.
