BURGLARY PREVENTION THE TEXAS WAY

Houston homeowner shoots 5 burglars, killing 3 of them

When five burglars broke into an East Houston home around 1 a.m. Saturday, the home owner woke up and grabbed his gun. When the smoke cleared three burglars were dead and two were wounded. The homeowner was not hurt.

One burglar croaked at the scene. Two others fled in a car but drove only about two blocks where they crashed into a telephone pole. When the cops arrived, they found one of the burglars toes up inside the car. The other burglar fled on foot, but collapsed a block away. He croaked after having been transported to a hospital.

That’s burglary prevention the Texas way. If this had happened in California, the homeowner probably would have been charged with three murders and two attempted murders.

Actually CA does have ONE good gun law. For all practical purposes if the bad guys are in your home they are open targets. The penal code presumes they are there to do you harm. It is a rebutable presumption, but that is what the law presumes.
