It seems that an Uber driver picks up a fare in Sacramento, CA. who is totally blasted. OK, that is no big surprise. The fare was riding shotgun, which I guess is no big surprise either considering a lot of Ubers are the size of clown cars. Partway thru the ride to wherever the passenger decides to "help" drive the car, ending up with a respectable tugging match and the driver calls the cops. He had an inside camera so the driver was pretty well covered.
Uber banned the guy for life, AND the cops actually charged the fare with drunk driving. That is creative. I don't know if it will stick, but if you can charge a guy with DUI who is asleep in the back seat with the motor running to stay warm you should be able to successfully charge him for this.
