Lori Laughlin and her husband have apparently stated that, while they knew their intervention on behalf of their daughters was cheating and inherently unfair, they did not (and do not) believe it was ILLEGAL.
I strongly suspect they will find that ignorance of the law, or just plain ignorance for that matter, does not constitute a valid legal defense.
I wonder if her lawyer got his law degree in some creative fashion? He sure seems to be giving her some bad info, or maybe she is getting good advice and is choosing to ignore it.
It is amusing to watch a human train wreck actually unfolding in front of your eyes. Probably not so amusing for them though.
