Four people died in Seattle on Saturday when a construction crane at the new Google campus collapsed. Two of the dead were crane operators. Two of them were poor bastards who happened to be sitting in their cars when the crane came crashing down.
Four other people were injured, three of them requiring hospital treatment.
High wind is believed to be a contributing factor.
A roughly similar thing happened in Seattle in 2006 when a crane collapse killed a lawyer who was sitting in his own home minding his own business when a crane crashed down into his home from a nearby office building.
