There was a shooting in the El Tahur sports bar on East Main St. in Stockton early Sunday. Four people were shot, one is in critical condition. The shooting followed a fight. I am thinking perhaps the fight was over the decor. The building is painted purple, red and white on the outside so god knows what it looks like inside.
There was some sort of disturbance inside prior to the shooting. The place seems to be a focal point for violence and there have been three other homicides there in the last 18 years plus some very serious assaults. Sounds like a good place to NOT visit to me.
Maybe they were watching Tiger win the Masters. Or not.

Does the California Alcoholic Beverage Commission ever investigate this joint?
No complaints THAT I AM AWARE OF that they serve minors or sell dope. The city has, from time to time, moved against liquor licenses of premesis that seem to be trouble magnets, but it is rare.
