
The weapon used in the attack penetrated Neumann's skull and impacted his brain. He also suffered three cuts to the head, a cut to his neck and his right arm was shattered. Doctors say it is unlikely that he will regain consciousness.

Slightly more than one year ago the attacker was arrested for menacing. His own mother asked the judge to lock him in the nut farm up because he was dangerous. Judge kicked him loose instead. Judge is refusing comment, asserting that the record is sealed.
