Yes, the Des Moines Register used to be a well thought of newspaper. It is now relegated to fishwrapper status. Yesterday they endorsed Pocahontas Warren for President. The fact that she engaged in a long-term fraud to gain a place on the Harvard staff as a "native american" minority, can't think of anything convincing to say other than to duck and dodge when asked how to pay for her pie-in-the-sky promises and can not remember that there is a difference between "two cents" and "two percent" does not seem to matter to their editorial board.
No wonder print journalism is in such bad shape. They are as stupid as broadcast media.
EDITOR'S NOTE: The Des Moines Register endorsed Hillary Clinton for president in 2016.
