Sophie Yazzie, a veteran of the United States Army Air Corps, has died at the age of 105. She was a member of the Navajo nation and enlisted at the age of 28. She may have been the oldest living female veteran of WW II. She leaves behind four children, five grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
