BILL DE BLASIO BLAMED FOR RAPE-MURDER OF 92-YEAR-OLD WOMAN

An NYPD union boss and ICE chief have both blamed Mayor Bill De Blasio for the rape and murder of a 92-year-old woman by an undocumented migrant who had been let out of custody under the city's sanctuary status last year.

Maria Fuertes was sexually assaulted and strangled outside her Queens home earlier this month with a broken spine, rib fractures and bruising. She later died in the hospital.

Her alleged killer is Reeaz Khan, a 21-year-old immigrant from Guyana who had been let out of police custody six weeks earlier after being arrested on assault and weapon charges. Authorities say he followed the woman home then attacked her.

ICE had requested to be notified when he was released but because New York follows a sanctuary city policy for undocumented migrants, they never go the call.

He was freed back onto the streets of the city. ICE already issued a statement this week laying the blame for Fuertes' death at his feet.

However they went further on Friday and were joined by Vincent Vallelong, Sergeants Benevolent Association Vice President, at a press conference to reiterate their fury.

'The mayor can say what he wants to say -- he owns this. He should step up and say these are his policies, he owns it,' said Vallelong.

Matthew Albence, the acting director of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, said at a news conference Friday that the slaying could have been prevented if city officials had complied with a federal request to turn over the assailant, a Guyanese national, for deportation.

'It's unbelievable that I have to come here and plead with the city of New York to cooperate with us to help keep this city safe,' Albence said.

'Make no mistake.

'It is this city's sanctuary policies that are the sole reason this criminal was allowed to roam the streets freely and end an innocent woman's life,' he said.

Mayor Bill de Blasio has accused ICE of 'spreading lies' and employing 'scare tactics' that destroy trust in law enforcement.

He said on Twitter this week that the city has passed 'common-sense laws about immigration enforcement that have driven crime to record lows.'

'Fear, hate and attempts to divide are signatures of the Trump Administration, not New York City,' de Blasio spokeswoman Freddi Goldstein said Friday. "

'We are the safest big city in America because of our policies, not in spite of them,' he added.

It is not the only policy of De Blasio's to be blamed for violent murder.

Last year, when 18-year-old Barnard College Freshman Tessa Majors was brutally stabbed in a park on the Upper West Side by a group of assailants who are yet to be caught, other NYPD union bosses said De Blasio's relaxed policy on marijuana.

He suggested Majors might have been in the park buying marijuana - an unverified claim and one that was heavily criticized by her family - and said that if it were not such an open market, she may never have been there in the first place.

EDITOR’S NOTE: Khan was the one who told police he fell down, his belt broke, his pants fell down and his dick accidentally fell near the 92-year-old woman’s snatch. Now that has to be the most outstanding alibi of the century.
