Chesa Boudin is the new D. A. of the City and County of San Francisco. He has an interesting background. He was raised by radicals after his bio parents were both made guests of the people for participation in a murderous armored car robbery in New York that killed two cops and a armored truck guard.
One of his first official acts was to announce the creation of a diversion program for "primary care givers of minor children" to help keep them out of the slammer. He views this as taking responsibility for protecting the sanctity of the family.
He has already announced that he will not prosecute "quality of life" crimes, like shitting on the sidewalk, any theft of property under $950 value, vandalism, drug use and commercial sex between adults.

Most of those kids would be far be better off NOT being raised by their current primary care givers.
