A 4-year-old Indiana child is in critical condition after a gun that his father had concealed went off while they were playing.

The incident happened on Sunday inside the family’s Bloomington, Indiana, home. According to investigators, the two were “play wrestling” on a bed when the gun, which the boy’s 36-year-old father had concealed under his clothing near the small of his back, fell and discharged one shot.

The bullet struck both the father and the child in the head. The father is expected to recover from non-life-threatening injuries, but the boy was airlifted to a children’s hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana, where he remains in critical condition.

Authorities said they are still investigating how the gun went off and have not determined whether they will release the name of the child or his father.

This is one of those things that is barely possible but smells fishy.

Doesn't take a genius to carry concealed in a safe manner. I have to agree with Bob.
