One law enforcement officer was killed and two others injured during a shooting on an Amtrak train in Tucson, Arizona, on Monday, cops said.

The Sunset Limited Train 2 was traveling from Los Angeles to New Orleans when it arrived in Tucson around 7:40 a.m. local time, an Amtrak spokesman told The Post.

Two DEA agents were conducting a routine inspection of the train for anything suspicious while it was stopped when a man began firing on the officers, according to the Tucson Police Department.

Police had detained one suspect for questioning when a second man began shooting at the DEA officers before barricading himself in an area of the train.

Police fired back and eventually found the gunman dead in the bathroom, apparently due to a gunshot from an officer

The two DEA officers were shot, killing one and leaving another in critical condition at a local hospital. A Tucson police officer was also shot and hospitalized with injuries and is in stable but serious condition, police told The Post.

No names of any of the officers or suspects involved have been released.

Amtrak said there were 137 passengers and 11 crew members aboard the train at the time of the shooting, none of whom were injured. All were evacuated to the Tucson train station after it happened.

Amtrak said it is in contact with investigators regarding the incident.
