Warner, Oklahoma is a small town, 1,500 residents near a
college campus. They had a small town police force, 4 cops and a
chief. Now they have zilch.
For
some reason unknown to the city council the entire department,
including the chief, just resigned. One officer gave two weeks notice
but could not be kept on without an administrative structure.
The city will hire a new chief before hiring new officers. They figure that will take 30 days or so.
None of the cops gave a formal reason for their leaving.
Curiouser and curiouser.
