SB2 was passed to the Governor's desk this week and the
sniveling asshole has already said he will sign it. What it does it
declare essentially every public place in CA a "sensitive area" and
thereby bans the carrying of concealed weapons in those areas by CCW
permit holders. This places include schools, parks, banks, public
transit and anyplace where alcohol is sold. It would also ban carrying
in private businesses unless the owner makes it clear that it is
permissible to carry on those premisis.
The law will not actually take effect until January 1 2024.
Various Second Amendment groups have already prepared actions to request a ban on state enforcement of the new law.
