Leah Johnston was working at Friendly Normandy Market when she was ambushed by a group of six thieves wearing masks and hoods

Leah Johnston, a convenience store worker in Normandy Park, Washington, covered her face and fell to the ground as she was punched and kicked by a masked assailant during a robbery of Friendly Normandy Market.

Five thieves, some of whom are suspected to be teenagers, stripped the shelves of candy and tobacco products while another took all the cash from the register.

Johnston is seen on video covering her face and turning away as her attacker continues the brutal assault until the group have stolen all they can carry.

The group of six hopped into a stolen Kia and Hyundai and made their escape - the cars were later recovered.

'My face hurts. But my pride I think hurts more,' Johnston said.
