On Monday SCOTUS ruled (5-4) that Trump can continue to
deport people under the 1798 Alien Enemies act, though they must be
given some level of minimal review rights.
The
court also ruled that Trump is not REQUIRED to spend money allocated
and approved by congress for departments within the executive branch.
Meaning he can refuse to fund budgeted money for things like the
Department of Education. The power of the purse still lies with the
House of Representatives, but Trump is not required to spend all of the
money in that purse.
