The
Sacramento City Unified School District has just announced that the
next-year deficit projection has just gone up AGAIN from last month.
They are now talking about $134 million rather than the $113 million
cited just last month.
The
district has just announced several hundred MORE potential layoffs on
top of those already announced. They are absolutely desperate to avoid a
state takeover. A lot of people will lose their seat on the gravy
train if that happens, and a lot of competent investigation may take
place to figure out just what the fuck is going on there. Maybe it is
just me but I find it hard to believe that that much money is
disappearing or needed due to ordinary incompetence.
