Under Moonbeam’s realignment it is conceivable that somewhere down the line the vicious beating of an 80-year-old grandma will be classified as ‘non-violent’, ‘non-serious’
This piece of shit has a 42-page rap sheet dating to the 1980s with at least six prior felony arrests.
GRANDMOTHER BEATEN UP BY PAROLEE

Alonzo Johnson is a career criminal and a serious turd. He managed to get into the home of an 80-year old grandmother in South Pasadena, held a knife to her neck and beat the crap out of her. Johnson was in the process of binding granny when her three grandchildren arrived, apparently scaring him off. The woman believed he would kill her.
Granny got, among other things, a broken nose. She is still in ICU and may be bleeding into her brain from the beating.
Fortunately the well-dressed parolee left his fedora at the scene so with a combination of an ID and DNA if needed he is pretty well toasted.
Johnson is now in custody for attempted murder, burglary and a few other odds and ends. He has six priors going back almost 30 years.
The suspect has been variously identified as being 49, 50, or 51 years old, depending on which source you believe. I have heard one unconfirmed report that Johnson was a realignment release prisoner, but I have been unable to verify that.

The woman who is the victim of this unspeakable crime is the Mother of one of my dearest friends. They are both remarkable, strong, generous, kind, hard working, brave, smart smart smart...women. The "man" who did this should never have been on the streets!!!! My hope is that he never ever is able to walk out of a jail cell ever again. As an officer said on the news, the victims are victims of the crime for a lifetime, and they arrest these F^!@*rs - who do a portion of their time and then walk Free. There are no words to adequately express what I am feeling and what this family is now going through.
last night, I was the victim of an assault and battery, and normally I would have run - but on the heels of what had just happened to my dear friends Mom, I regained my balance, and stood face to face, fists clenched in boxing stance, and said "if you hit me, I WILL hit you back, and you will NOT get up!" He ran away...
it could have turned out differently, but what are the odds of all of this...too many violent criminals are being set free to repeat their behavior and destroy lives.
Anon 9:22, than you for your comment. You are right, the man who attacked the mother of your friend should never have been on the streets. I'm sorry to tell you this, but that asshole will not stay behind bars for long because the state is under a federal court order to reduce the prison population and Gov. Moonbeam wants to save money by reducing the prison budgets.
Anon 9:26, from what you wrote, I believe you are the same as 9:22. I am glad your confrontation ended with that turd scurrying off. I hope you will not be victimized again because the next time you might not be as lucky.
