A BIG LIE: “IF YOU LIKE YOUR HEALTH CARE PLAN, YOU’LL BE ABLE TO KEEP YOUR HEALTH CARE PLAN, PERIOD!”

In fighting for Obamacare, the President proved to be the Liar-In-Chief

When he was campaigning for his health insurance law in 2009, President Obama repeatedly promised the American people that once the Affordable Care Act became law, “If you like your health care plan, you’ll be able to keep your health care plan, period!”

And in a speech before the American Medical Association, Obama said: "If you like your doctor, you will be able to keep your doctor, period! If you like your health care plan, you'll be able to keep your health care plan, period! No one will take it away, no matter what!"

However, the Obama administration has known all along that millions of Americans would not be able to keep their existing health insurance plans because those plans do not meet the standards required by the new health care law. That means in selling his signature health care law, Obama proved to be the Liar-In-Chief.

More than 2 million people have already been notified they will lose their existing health insurance policies because of Obamacare, including 800,000 in New Jersey, 300,000 in Florida, 279,000 in California and 140,000 in Michigan.

NBC News reports that its sources predict “that 50 to 75 percent of the 14 million consumers who buy their insurance individually can expect to receive a 'cancellation' letter or the equivalent over the next year because their existing policies don’t meet the standards mandated by the new health care law. One expert predicts that number could reach as high as 80 percent. And all say that many of those forced to buy pricier new policies will experience 'sticker shock'."

Of course, White House staff members like Valerie Jarrett and Jay Carney say the NBC report is incorrect. Yeah, tell that to the more than 2 million people who have suddenly received their health insurance policy cancellation notices.

Obama made repeated promises about his health care act which a man of his intelligence should have known could not be kept. When someone makes a promise knowing that it cannot be kept, he is perpetrating a lie, period!
