Never told to report to prison, Cornealious Anderson remained free for 13 years during which he turned his life around and became a productive citizen and good family man
When Cornealius Anderson’s prison term ended, Missouri prison authorities discovered he had never served his time. So last July, eight U.S. marshals arrived at Anderson’s home and arrested him. He was quickly transferred to the Southeast Correctional Center in Charleston, Missouri to await an uncertain fate.
On Monday, Judge Terry Lynn Brown ordered Anderson freed. He based his decision on the convicted robber’s 'exemplary' behavior during the 13 years before his arrest. At the 10 minute court hearing, Judge Brown told Anderson:
"You've been a good father. You've been a good husband. You've been a good taxpaying citizen of the state of Missouri. That leads me to believe that you are a good man and a changed man.”
Instead of being paroled, Anderson was given credit for the 4,794 days between when he was convicted and when he was arrested last July. That means he has now completed his sentence.
It’s a shame that Anderson had to wait nine months in prison before justice was finally served.

It is a good think the judge had the legal ability, the brains and the balls to take care of this. Clearly this man is someone who got his life right by himself. Even his victim didn't want him put into prison after this time.
