RED DAVID ORGANIZES AND LEADS ANTI-TRUMP PROTESTERS IN HOUSTON

Avowed Marxist and fired college professor calls Trump a racist, mysoginist, bigot and warmonger

Donald Trump attended a fund raiser late Friday afternoon at the home of an attorney in Houston’s ritzy River Oaks neighborhood. Both pro and anti-Trump demonstrators waited in the street for Trump to arrive.

David Michael Smith, an avowed Marxist, was a government professor at College of the Mainland, the institution where I taught criminal justice for 23 years. Red David, as he was called by us anti-Communists, was fired in July 2013. That hasn’t kept him from continuing with his anti-American activities.

Through the years students have said that instead of covering the course content as described in the college catalog, Red David yapped a lot of anti-Americanism and anti-capitalism in what they thought would be a course about U.S. government.

Red David and his wife Rona have formed a group to protest Trump’s appearance in Houston which they named the June 17th Coalition.

Here is what Red David told KHOU:

“He’s a racist, he’s mysoginist, he’s a bigot, he’s a warmonger. We don’t want him here. His slander of Mexicans, Muslims, women, disabled people, it’s really outrageous. So we’re gonna have to have a lot of people from Greater Houston out there to express our opposition to Trump. Houston is one of the most diverse cities in the United States. And we’re gonna show Mr. Trump he’s not welcome in Houston.”

And here is what Red Rona, Red David’s wife, told KPRC:

“He's a fascist, he’s a racist, he’s a maniac.”

I’m sure that most of the anti-Trump protesters were unaware they were being led by an avowed Marxist couple. And they also don’t know that the two Reds do not hate Trump because he’s a fascist, a racist and a maniac, but that they hate him simply because he’s a capitalist.

Dr. Beth Lewis, the COM president who fired Red David, got fired herself last month. I wouldn’t be all that surprised to see the college rehiring the Marxist.
