Chinese military launched the Long March rocket, a nuclear-capable missile, in August carrying a hypersonic glide vehicle' in low orbit. It circled the globe before returning to Earth to strike its target, in a technological development that would overcome US anti-ballistic missile systems (left: graphic).
The incident caught the US community by surprise, and to rub salt into their wounds, an op-ed in Chinese state media outlet Global Times , Beijing's mouthpiece said the test means 'there is a key new member in China's nuclear deterrence system', adding that this is a 'new blow to the US's mentality of strategic superiority over China'.

President Trump was not caught by surprise. The US knew about it and I hope we are still developing or have a similar system. Why do you think President Trump created Space Force. The problem with most anything manufactured by China is that it is copied from US technology and cheaper inferior metals, design or manufacturing is used. 10 years ago the US imported sheet rock from China because it was pennies on the dollar cheaper. In a new development near me all the Chinese sheetrock used by builders had to be replaced because it began to warp and smell of rotten eggs. These people still raise dogs for food.
