Assuming my math is right Tuesday will be 100 days of
Donald Trump. We have either enjoyed, or endured, depending on how you
look at it.
There is no
doubt whatsoever that Trump has made the immigration situation
infinitely better. You have to be a psychotic or a moron to not realize
that.
The Ukraine war is
still going on. It only takes one side to make a war. It takes both to
make a peace (in the absence of total destruction of the loser).
The tariff situation may, or may not, end up being good for us. That is still up in the air.
The overall economic situation is I think unquestionably better, but things are still fluid.
It
will be really interesting to see who wins the Lawfare fight over
immigration and anti-Semitism in schools and transgender rights versus
the rights of biological women. If we are lucky that will be largely
determined within the next few months in the Supreme Court.
Trump
has done what he said he would do, or is at least trying to do what he
said he would do. That is in and of itself sort of unusual and kind of
refreshing IMHO.
