"Fuck that fucking mileage tax!"
The formerly great state of California is again looking at a tax for
mileage driven in the state. Theoretically this would REPLACE the
current gas tax and vehicle license fees. Nobody with half a brain
believes it. It would in fact SUPPLEMENT those existing taxes and fees
and generate more money for the state to piss away on state-paid
transgender surgery for illegal aliens and state prisoners. That
doesn't mean it won't pass. The Democrat-Socialist super-majority in
the legislature can do pretty much anything they want if they are
willing to ride the heat for it. Only about half of CA residents pay
income tax but most people pay some form of gas tax and most people
drive. They MIGHT be unwilling to carry the extra burden, though they
might also believe the b.s. from the legislature. One never knows.
