APPROPRIATE USE FOR THE OAKLAND COLISEUM

The Oakland Coliseum has a new use.  It is now the home of professional Cricket in the bay area.  I am fully confident that will bring in dozens of spectators for the games.

I am not completely sure right now just who owns the damn thing.  The African American Sports Entertainment Group that was buying the Coliseum from the city of Oakland (50% owner) and the formerly Oakland As (50% owner) for a total of about $225 million has when last I heard been unable to seal the deal.

I wonder how much it costs to rent the place?  It would make a good place of junior high school girls field hockey matches.

EDITOR'S NOTE: Don't sell cricket short. In Europe, Australia and elsewhere cricket games attract over 100,00 spectators to a match.

I remember when soccer wouldn't attract flies in the USA, but look at it today.
