CHARGES FILED IN TEXAS TRACK MEET STABBING

By Bob Walsh

Karmelo Anthony

Back in April of this year Karmelo Anthony, 17, stabbed Austin Metcalf, 17, to death at a high school track meet in Collin County, TX.  Anthony claimed that Metcalf had attacked him and that he defended himself, with a knife that he was not legally supposed to be carrying.

On Tuesday the Collin County D.A. filed first degree murder charges against Anthony on the basis of a grand jury indictment.

There is no question about what actually happened.  The question is what legal justification, if any, Anthony had for knifing Metcalf.

Anthony is currently free on $250,000 bond.

Collin County? Maybe TDCJ will put you in a new a/c cell. But being this is Texas, I doubt it.
