Tensions between U.S. President Donald Trump & Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei will decide the future of military action in the Middle East.

According to foreign reports, US President Donald Trump recently vetoed an Israeli plan to assassinate Supreme Leader of Iran Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. The report, published by Reuters, was confirmed by two American officials.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was asked about the report during a recent interview with Fox News and said, "There are so many false reports about conversations that never happened. But I will tell you this: we are doing what needs to be done, and we will continue to do so. The US knows what is best for the US."

Netanyahu added, "I am in regular contact with President Trump. We informed our American friends, and the president, in advance. He knew about it. Trump canceled the nuclear agreement, he took out [Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps Quds Force commander Qassem] Soleimani, they see him as their number one enemy. I am his junior partner."

"We are fully coordinated with the US," Netanyahu said, "but we understand that America under Trump will make the decisions that are best for America. He understands that I, as Israel's prime minister, will make the necessary decisions for my country. And that's how he acts as well."
