Various
broadcast media outlets in CA are asserting as almost fact that the CA
District Court will announced the decision from the three-judge panel
today. Nobody seems to be interested in speculating authoritatively on
which direction the ruling is likely to go.
Personally
I hope it shoots Gavin down and overturns the Prop 50 vote. Part of
that is I think Gavin is a sleaze. Part of that is I am opposed to
changing the rules in the middle of the game on general principles.
Of
course whoever loses can appeal to the Ninth District Court of Appeals
or SCOTUS. I would not be surprised in the least should that happen.
