William Jacobson
The Equal Protection Project is the brain child of William Jacobson, a law professor at Cornell. He has just filed complaints
against UCLA and U C Irvine with the United States Education Department.
The
action against UCLA is over 13 scholarships that are restricted by race
and/or gender. Some are available only to illegal aliens.
The
action against UC Irvine regards their (allegedly) setting a hard
minimum quota for Black faculty, students and staff. Following the
action Irvine removed some of the verbiage from their website. It
appears though that the policy has no changed, merely the publicity for
the policy.
