FIRST A RABBIT, NEXT A RABBI?

This morning I was talking to a friend about Jimmy Carter and his contention that the opposition to Obama is racially motivated because the "overwhelming majority" of whites do not believe a black man is "qualified to lead this great country."

When I mentioned the incident in which Carter barely escaped assassination by a rabbit back in 1970, my friend must have misunderstood me because he asked, "Did you say rabbi?" I replied, "No, I said rabbit."

Then it occurred to me that, since Carter and Barack Obama are both competing to be Israel's Public Enemy No. 1, if Jimmy Carter gets attacked again, it could very well be by a rabbi.
