OPPOSITION TO OBAMA RACE BASED? (2)

Jimmy Carter’s interview with Brian Williams has led to numerous discussions on TV news shows as to whether or not opposition to Obama is race based. Among the guests popping up on TV is Michael Eric Dyson, professor of sociology at Georgetown University.

Dyson is the academic version of Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton. This professor sees white racists hiding under every bed and in every closet. He cites the comparison of Obama to monkeys as proof that the opposition to Obama is racially motivated. Never mind that George Bush was compared to monkeys on numerous occasions during his presidency.

Dyson hears what he wants to hear. This morning, on the NBC Today Show, he accused Joe Wilson of having shouted "you lie, boy" at the president during his congressional address. The word "boy" is considered racist when it is used by whites in addressing a black man – it is offensive to black men because they see this as talking down to them by denying them their manhood.

When Matt Lauer asked Dyson if he actually heard Wilson shout "you lie, boy," he stammered around until it became obvious he had not heard it. He must have bought that false malicious accusation when he read an earlier New York Times column in which Maureen Dowd wrote: "Fair or not, what I heard was an unspoken word in the air - You lie, boy!"

Joe Wilson never uttered the word "boy." Dyson is just another racial rabblerouser. But, unlike Jackson and Sharpton, this jerk is an academic at a prestigious university.

Professor,
Well said! Chicago jettisoned the loudmouth Dyson ten years ago after his less-than celebrated time with us.

Along with fatboy Roland S. Martin who single-handedly snuffed the life out of Chicago's oldest and most respected black owned and operated newspaper - The Daily Defender beore taking his lungs to CNN/

These clowns are almost as laughable as the utter failure Jimmy Carter.
