Your City of Houston Employee of the Month award might very well go to Gregory Bernard Thompson, who was arrested yesterday when he negotiated a blow job from what turned out to be an undercover cop.

He was in a city truck at the time, police say; too bad it wasn't one of those famous hybrids city officials keep bragging about. Gotta keep it green, you know.

Court documents say Thompson, 50, is 5-7 and 250 pounds, so we don't know why he'd need to pay for a blow job. Maybe he's like a Hollywood celeb, who doesn't pay for the hooker to show up but for her to leave.

We've asked the city which department he works for, but haven't heard back.

Thompson was arrested in the 3400 block of Liberty Road around lunchtime. HPD had quite the prostution-sting day yesterday: Also caught were a staffer for U.S. Representative Sheila Jackson Lee, according to KPRC's Steven Dean, and Terrance G. Hall, a minister and minor candidate for city council District B.
