TOYS R US FILES FOR BANKRUPTCY

by Bob Walsh

On Monday Toys R Us filed for Chapter 11. That means they are restructuring their debt and are going to try to stay operational. Of course they make about 65% of their income in the last ten weeks of the year, so there is no danger they will actually close down I n the near future but it just goes to show you, brick and mortar retail can be a bitch.

I find myself ordering more from Amazon and Walmart on line because it is convenient and the taxes are cheaper and I get free shipping on most items. This is a good business model.

Try Christmas shopping at the mall with kids screaming and stress levels at an all time high.
