Rene Boucher and Sen. Rand Paul have been feuding neighbors in Bowling Green, Kentucky for 20 years

On Friday, Rene Boucher, 59, sneaked up behind Rand Paul while he was mowing his lawn and attacked the senator, breaking five of his ribs, three of which were displaced fractures, and bruising his lungs. The two have been feuding neighbors in Bowling Green, Kentucky for 20 years.
The two properties have adjoining lawns but there is no fence between them. While Boucher is a Democrat and Paul is a Republican, most of their feuding has been about leafs and trash blowing one way or the other across their property lines.
Boucher was busted and charged with one count of fourth-degree assault. He was released on $7,500 bail. The misdemeanor charge could be raised to a felony because of the serious injuries Paul suffered.
Paul is recovering at his home.
Although Boucher has been charged locally, the FBI is now investigating the altercation because attacking a member of congress is a federal offense.
My suggestion is for them to build a fence on the property line. That way the leafs and trash can pile up on either side of the fence, depending on how the wind is blowing. Thus Boucher’s trash will stay on his property and Paul’s trash will stay on his property. And they can still shout insults at each other over the fence.
