I remember almost 40 years ago when Natalie Wood drowned and more than a few people thought her husband, Robert Wagner, did her in. However, the official verdict of the coroner was "accidental."
However, in 2011, that verdict was withdrawn. Robert Wagner has now been named an official "person of interest" in the death. Wagner has declined to comment.
Much of the recent interest in the case has come from a "48 hours" television investigation into this incident. The L.A.S.O, which has jurisdiction at Catalina island where the yacht was when Wood went overboard in the middle of the night, has also declined comment.
EDITOR'S NOTE: The boat captain now says Wagner killed Natalie Wood.

He we go again. Must have been a slow news day. The boat Captain has been interviewed several times since the incident and each time he has changed his story. USA Today says he was paid for every story. It seems to me that the boat captain has been making a living over the incident and knows that people will pay to hear what he has to say. So, why not twist the tale a little each time for more money.
Robert Wagner is no fool. He gave a statement 40 years ago and he stands by it. No need for another one.
The boat captain has never come out and said that Robert Wagner killed Natalie Wood.
