Gary Martin, 45, was a 5-year employee at the Henry Platt Company in Aurora, Illinois yesterday. He was about to become a former employee, and he was aware of it. About half way thru his shift on Friday he whipped out a pistol, complete with laser sight, and began shooting his fellow workers, killing five of them.
The cops showed up in four minutes, which is actually a pretty good response time. He managed to wound five of the officers, none critically, and a sixth was injured other than by gunfire. Other responding cops terminally rehabilitated Martin.
All I can say is that it is a very good thing nobody at the plant had a gun or somebody might have gotten hurt.

You nailed it Bob. If someone there had happened to have a gun...lots of innocent by standers could have been shot.
