NOTABLE DEATHS
by Bob Walsh
Yesterday novelist Anne Rice shuffled off this mortal coil at age 80 due to complication of a stroke. She is notable for a bunch of vampire novels which were very commercially successful and some female oriented porn which sold well.
Also a day or two before Michael Nesmith cahsed out at age 78. He made it big with the 1960's rock group The Monkees. They sold a respectable 75 million records between 1966 and 1970 when the band broke up and each member went their own way. Only one of the group, Mikey Dolenz, is still walking around.
