Alabama corrections officer Frederick Johnson was arrested for selling porn to inmates
An Alabama corrections officer was arrested for smuggling in pornography to sell to inmates, law enforcement said.
Frederick Johnson, an employee of the Mobile County jail, is charged with 21 counts of promoting prison contraband for allegedly sneaking flash drives loaded with porn, phone chargers, cameras and a camera watch into the prison, the Mobile County Sheriff’s Office told WPMI.

He was busted with the contraband on May 17 when the Mobile County Metro Jail conducted a random bag search as corrections officers entered the facility.
Investigators said that Johnson was selling the electronics to inmates. He had worked at the jail for three years.
“This behavior will not be tolerated,” Sheriff Sam Cochran said in a statement. “We are constantly investigating how contraband is brought into our jail and if we find it is one of our employees then we will arrest him/her just like we would anyone else.”

Bullshit! The Sheriff knows how the contraband gets in the jail. Some jailers live below poverty level and bringing in contraband is really how they make a livable wage. It can be stopped but then a lot of jailers would quit. It's sad that most jailers receive less training and are paid less than patrol deputies. However, they took an oath and should be held to it.
