INTERESTING STUFF FROM CALIFORNIA LEGISLATURE

 By Bob Walsh

Talmika Bates after her scalp was ripped off by a Brentwood police dog. In the Bay Area, many departments have a "find and bite" policy, allowing police to use dogs to search for and bite people simply if they’re suspected of a felony.

A legislative proposal to outlaw the use of police dogs in the apprehension of criminal suspect or in crowd control died yesterday.  Couldn't get any traction.  It was portrayed as a "racial justice" issue and still couldn't get any traction.

The Sikh Motorcycle Club of Australia (pictured) told Daily Mail Australia they feel they have been discriminated against with the helmet laws

There is a legislative proposal currently in the hopper what would exempt Sikhs from wearing motor cycle helmets as they won't fit over the Sikh turban.  I should point out that this has been the law in Canada for many years and there isn't any unusual increase in the death of Sikh motorcyclists noted.

Helmets aren’t mandatory in Texas.

I thought the "safety Nazis" had managed to tie that to highway funds. I am glad to hear I was wrong.

Sort of like in Louisiana. It’s against the law for a minor to possess alcohol but it’s not a crime to sell alcohol to a minor.
